The first time a friend texted me inviting me in a cruise I sent a text back of a train in a mountain side.  I had no desire to cruise.  I didn’t like the idea of being in the middle of the ocean, I didn’t like the thought of being cooped up on a ship.  That evening, there we were, booking my first cruise.  Within a week of returning I was booking another including my teenagers.  Now we always have 2 or 3 booked at a time.  

I live in a town of 600 so even the smallest cruise ships are huge to me.  My kids laugh that they didn’t know how to cross the street at a crosswalk, or how to ride an elevator until they we 14 but I let them wander around a cruise ship 10 times the size of our town!

My husband is known as somewhat of a hermit.  He had never really traveled before we met 10 years ago.  People are amazed that I have turned him into a cruise addict too.  He doesn’t dance yet but he loves to travel and is a good sport wearing Caribbean themed outfits and drinking drinks with fruit and umbrellas in them.

When I run into friends I haven’t seen in a while the first thing they say is “I see on Facebook you just went on another cruise”.  I have had lots of friends ask me how I plan our trips, how we can go as often as we do and if I will invite them when we plan the next one.  

So, as often as we cruise and all the advice I give others I decided working as a travel agent would be the right next step.
